Many moons ago I was hugely honoured to meet top Blogger , arch agenda setter and Dale courtier, ‘Dizzy’, of Dizzy Thinks . At the time I suggested that swapping scandals was playing into the hands of the lobotomised left who like to imply equivalence in political argument by playing detail ping pong . I fear I may have been ever so slightly wrong . Martin Bright once a journalist of note but now a bought and paid for Brown puppet is looking at it from the other end of the gun this morning and it is instructive to see things from the perspective of the eternally damned

He looks back with nostalgia to the Pravda style lie operation that the Labour Party ran in the late 1990s when you couldn’t move for Tory sleaze stories in the Press .He sulkily implies that the Labour Peerage sell off is a slick subterfuge paid for by covertly by “ Big Business” and lists a dripping wet list frankly pitiful smears against David Cameron to add some tat to the tit . The deathly horror that Boy David has lunches with Large Contributors to the Party is typical of sort of thing . My god I hope that’s the best they can come up with !

It may just be my perspective but it seem to me that the Conservative Party’s output is far less effective than the spontaneously self igniting Guidot Dizzy Croydonian and the like who have credibility both as independent commentators and from personal integrity. I hope they will continue to do what they do in their different ways . Bright fumes that the right have been allowed to set the agenda on Sleaze in words that echo Dizzy`s justification for this battle .So I may as well accept that the Diz-meister was sort of right.

Oh dear look what trouble I am in and this was all started by a friend of mine who I thought had cocked up the documentation so we did not compete in Mildmay ward. National Nuclear Day In Iran

I was just reading Croydonians magnificent spot on the nascent nuclear capability of the Congo. Frightening but fairly long term. The immediate concern is the prospect of a Nuclear Iran.
It was, “National Nuclear Day” a few days ago and we can dismiss the idea that their capabilities are for peaceful purposes as childish immediately . The recent kidnap shows how little Iran cares about international Law ,( whatever that is ) . I`m-a dinner-jacket will ,moreover, have been encouraged to believe that we are a decadent country of foppish bleeding hearts that would welcome the prospect of being annihilated for the crimes of the British Empire . At the very least they are more than welcome to kidnap our people with impunity.

If Iran`s claims that they are enriching Uranium on an industrial scale are true then they will have enough material for a bomb in 2009.This is a country where chants of “ Death to Israel” and “Death To America” count as dinner party chit chat so the prospect of nukes makes me go a little sweaty. In fact if someone were to take my ipod I might have to cry myself to sleep . It is just possible that the Iran are lying but we cannot put it all down to Arab jibber jabber . Even if Tehran is not as advanced as it claims to be they may still have the sufficiency between 2010 and 2015 so its about time we stopped prattling on about fat genes and Kate Middleton and started thinking about how to stay alive. More to the point its time that the world did the same .

The UN is an illusory power that cannot act in this case because of the interest of Russia and China . No meaningful sanctions have been deployed and that leaves Europe and America. As we well know Europe cannot sort out its own back yard without the US and ourselves to do the work, so militarily we will be reliant of the US who pasty faced Liberals sit in bistros abusing all day. The shock news is that Europe might be able to do something useful. As Iran relies on EU trade and that is backed with an export guarantee scheme it would be a simple matter to bring them to there knees. None of this would be any good without rights of inspection and we can all foresee the Liberals bleating on about the warmongering yanks and the Oil conspiracy ..or the Protocols of Zion or whatever it takes traitorously assist the enemies of the country. In their self flagellating perversions have admittedly been greatly assisted by the myriad mistakes of the recent past. Perverse they nonetheless are

The West needs to get its fight face back on and quick. Tehran believes we are weak and their appetite for inspection brinkmanship will be ravenous come the day .Steadfastness of purpose will be required and cowards cannot be tolerated .
It is so important that the fools on the left are reminded daily of the moral redundancy of their position. To those who said Iraq was an illegal war I say this . Why did you not actually campaign for the reinstatement of Sadaam. “Free the genocidal one” would have been a super slogan.. I hope the EU surprises me and acts with military despatch on serious sanctions but I will not be overwhelmed with astonishment if it all comes down to Our friends America and our own magnificent troops in the end .

By being perceived and then cast as the wronged woman, Kate Middleton is now the media's favourite girl. Indeed, they seem in total awe of bravery which has seen the former future Queen do nothing for the past 48 hours.

According to The Daily Mail, Ms Middleton 'put on a brave face yesterday' as 'she was doing her very best to give the impression that she is resuming a normal life'.

She returned to her parents' home, driven by her younger brother James in the family Freelander, four hours after buying a tennis racket on her 100-mile round trip to upmarket Kensington.'

It's a tough life.

Apparently, her boss has offered to lend her his Caribbean mansion for "as long as she wants".

I would like to extend my sympathies at such hardship and express my admiration for Kate's incredible bravery.

Problem : Some BNP supporters are decent people

Lord dale of Blogland had a post up noting that the BNP were counselling their members to vote UKIP if they did not have a thug in situ . His clear intention was to smear UKIP by association with the Working Class Nationalist Party and electorally that makes plenty of sense . There is a considerable cross over between UKIP and the Consertvative Party but In a recent survey, 32% of Labour voters said they would vote BNP as second choice, only 12% of Conservative voters chose BNP as a second choice. In other words there is nothing in it for Les Bleus . I have always accepted this but I am still unhappy that the Conservative Party ignores its working class support . It is the Soul of the Party. I posted a couple of times expressing some ambivalence about the BNP and as I got quite a good response I am putting them up here . If only I could stop posting on other people sites I might get a half decent one together myself eh.

I `m always surprised at the way you attack UKIP Iain . Personally I find them unrealistic but I do agree with much of what they say and if I thought they could win a good part of my objections would be gone. Personally I usually prefer then to the time serving media clones that have so contaminated public life in the main Parties. The BNP is not really a Socialist Party is it ,it’s a Nationalist Party which unlike some has undertaken to reduce tax …. and barring its abhorrent racist views ,which I gather may well be dropped , also takes up a lot of the ground the Liberal Conservative Party has vacated.
I see UKIP certainly and possibly the BNP is it develops away from its unacceptable genesis , as allies of the Conservative Party . In this context its isn`t hard to see that there would be a cross pollination and the truth is there are equally points of agreement with the Conservatives as you know .

With the Break up of the Union now inevitable it is essential that resurgent Nationalism is not the preserve of racists and fascists . Most of the BNP`s votes come from people who are neither and I see it as up to the Conservative Party to seek a rapprochement with those who feel they are not heard. If I `m honest bellowing Caliban of the BNP in some ways appeals to me more than UKIP which cannot seems to make a simple case for self government without wanting to bring back the birch.

There is something rather unwholesome about this post and what I especially do not like is the implication that a whole swathe pf people are so disgusting that if they as much as mention your name they are tainted. Cameron should stop hugging hoodies are start understanding the BNP.

Iain you ask why the BNP would sympathise with UKIP when there policies are so different. I appreciate you have tried to stress the differences but asking the question carries a meaning of which you are well aware. Its not what you say its what they hear, and as a super sophisticated media savvy Westminster village mouse like you well knows I took you to have asked the “question “ knowingly. Political Parties out of power are not a sum of their professed polices or what they say they will be they are the sum of the members and supporters they are expressions of momentum in public life . You are implying there is a sympathy between supporters and members of these parties behind their policies and this is highly embarrassing to UKIP. That is what I took the point to be .
Perhaps I was mistaken but ( Jeremy) I did ,as always , think about what I posted. You ( Jeremy)think that vehemently opposing the BNP inoculates your views from the taint nationalism carries but I`m not sure how honest that (common) gambit is. There is a place for working class nationalism in this country and the Conservative Party have abandoned it . I just feel uncomfortable when the middle-classes talk of the BNP like lepers.I confess is not an entirely resolved disquiet but there it is .As far as their racism is concerned I have better reasons than most for fearing it.




So there you go . The BNP has some nasty people in it but I cannot forget that some decent people vote for it and I think the Conservative Party should try to understand why
