Just Things I Like
The Stranglers do Burt Bacharach, now that couldn`t work could it? .....Oh but it does . On the other hand the amazing soprano Ying Huan as Butterfly had to be right and omg it is soooo right . Treat yourself you will not regret it
Well Done David
Some sanity from Martin Bright
In fact this is a massive achievement for the Conservative Party. When David Cameron took over in 2005 many Tories would have settled for this result. They should always have been fighting a two-election strategy. But the Conservative Party allowed itself to get overexcited about the possibility of outright victory. The Liberal Democrats allowed themselves to dream and find themselves bitterly disappointed this morning.

Recipe for Fascism
This incident will be watched by many and with the hard times we have ahead community relations are bound to come under stress . First New Labour flood the country with immigrants , then they bankrupt us , finally they are going to do a deal with Liberal Party who hate this country for PR. Amongst other things this would allow the working class vote to split as it has elsewhere.
A serious fascist Party in this country just one more golden legacy of New Labour

Let It Rain
Will it rain ? That`s the single question left, and the assumption is that if it does this will help the blue team. Interesting that , when you come to think about it .You might suppose that faced with the awful prospect of having to work ,Labour’s army of loafers would rise from their flea infested beds and pop the old cross on the ‘gimme’ square .
Well it does not work like that, and there is a reason . Lets imagine a group of stranded seamen forced to fish or starve, on the lovely but isolated Isle of Metaphor . Two of them spend the time catching fish .The remaining three are more rational . They sunbathe a bit write a few promissory notes to each other , establishing a sound fiscal basis for the new society, and exchange leaves as currency ,experiencing inflation on the leaf / fish index . Apart from these valuable activities our intrepid social entrepreneurs invent a 'Constitution' which they pass by a majority . They plump for PR
Under their constitution the fish , our less valuable members of society have foolishly caught, are taken into group membership and shared fairly between the five After a while the two fishers become slightly disenchanted with this system but in order to live they are obliged to carry our three sunbathing eaters but democracy as we know , has a price .That’s what Social Democrats mean when they say Democracy actually causes socialism , in fact under certain circumstances it causes state licensed theft .
Now ...you may have noticed I called this island the Isle of Metaphor and there was clue there dear reader , ... perhaps you divined my intent ? Yes indeed, our fishers were in fact the aspiring productive members of society .The key here is that as well as being more active at fishing they are, in general, more active . In practice the tendency of democracy to become theft and starvation is assuaged by these types organising actively and effectively to protect their interests . It is far easier for them to do that in a location , a constituency for example . It is much harder across a Nation which is why PR shifts the balance left towards the sunbathers . Furthermore when it rains they are the ones who pick up their brollies and vote
Lets hope for rain then

..and what was gained ?
In the pre recession three years to 2007-08 people in households living on less than 60% of median income rose by 1.3 million –a total worse than in 1989.People in extreme poverty are 700,000 more numerous than when Labour took office and the average real incomes of the poorest tenth declined by 2% in the 10 years to 2007-08.40% of additional incomes has accrued to the richest 10% .Inequality is higher than at any point since consistent records began, in 1979.So 13 years of Labour government produced higher levels of inequality than 18 years of Tory government

Vote For Five More Years Of Brown
For yet more social immobility and yet more social inequality .For more inflation higher interest rates , tax increases mostly hidden VAT , NI, god knows what else , so vote Brown to lose your home basically .
For continued squander on failing schools unreformed services fat cat pensions sinecures idle bureaucrats , for expanding the dependency culture and the swarms of parasites that live from it.Risking default effectively losing sovereignty by raising Greek style debts for years
For a dead duck leader a divided Party , owned by the very Unions that must be confronted .For politically motivated open door immigration policies ,anti family , anti children , anti English anti Southern and anti business policies , not to say further export of your rights to Europe.
For snooping busy bodying banning page three and stopping parent from deciding when and when not to smack their children , telling you where you can smoke and drink and above all considering anyone who disagrees with them a bigot …

Brown RIP
Time for a measured appraisal :
Gordon Brown has been a good PM just a truly awful, Chancellor and Labour leader . PM first .Reliable on defence and , actually a bit Euro sceptic , thank god , well “Euro” sceptic anyway .In the crisis he has mostly made the right decisions. He saved the banks, pumped money into the economy and did his bit globally . Britain could well have been worse placed under Conservatives in terms of the balance of its Economy and private debt so you can`t blame him for that . So Brown the PM I have some time for .
Brown the Chancellor really was a disaster – He it was ,and he alone ,who created our unsustainable public sector and Greek scale debts . He blocked Public sector reform and for this alone he deserves to be finished .As a Party leader he has run a dreadful campaign hid his record and encouraged a climate of suspicion . He is cowardly ,preening ,not a team player and gives the appearance of having little personal loyalty. Few are loyal to him .
Overall time to go , but his period as PM was the best of him.
