Jesus Is A Conservative

Came across the opinion that Jesus "was" a socialist on John B`s blog( Banditry) . I spake thusly ...

Anyway , I thought you meant Popper by ‘Karl’ for a sec; “No rational argument will have a rational effect on a man who does not want to adopt a rational attitude.” Popper.
In proportion as the antagonism between classes within the nation vanishes, the hostility of one nation to another will come to an end."
Communist Manifesto “.
Bet I know which one you like (Popper) ,which brings me to this horror ”… turned him( Jesus ) from the first ever socialist into( whatever) ……”Oh dear me no no no no
Your socialism is only 18th century rationalism with contemporary flava , but Jesus brought a message of love. That is why so many Christians place the famous passage from Corinthians at the heart of their faith
“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. ”
Love as a living force in the world is particular and unreasonable (perhaps even you have discovered this ?).Its exemplar is the love of a father for his son ,without which the whole crucifixion thing kind of implodes.
To you this irrational force, this connection to family , community and outward to Nation begets wars bigotry racism and inequality generally thwarting the rational management certain ubermenschen like your good self are eminently qualified to dish out Jesus would not agree and , for this reason ,amongst others ,he is , was, and always will be , a Conservative.

I have just looked at Banditry. What a remarkably boring, self-obsessed blog, with those lists of what John B has been up to - worse than looking at holiday videos! I bet you don't visit it often.

It's called "Twitter". And fairly sure Mr Newmania looks at it fairly often, from his comments. For a dyslexic religious right-winger, he's an interesting and civil chap who I kinda respect; maybe one day you'll learn his 'not being a tool' skills.
