Advice To New Labour Spinners

As the the fabulous recovery which you predicted has been unaccountably delayed . Can I suggest you taske this sort of line ....
“This shows how right we were to keep spending and spending because the recovery was fragile and needed the assistance of dangerous jitters on credit rating high interest rates and huge Public Sector wages for doing feck all ?
… choose your own words .

Yes we f***ed up and got the country into massive debt and into an illegal war. But if you vote for the Tories they will sting the poorest to show some recovery and keep the wealthy happy whilst making very little real change to anything really.

So I'm seriously considering voting Labour.

I think all those who depend on the State are thinking the same .

The cuts are coming whoever you vote for. If you don't want any admitted to change vote Labour.
They can always take us into the Euro to burn off the debt.

Not the pensioners, though, Newms, well not the majority of those I've spoken to, they're aware that Conservatives will restore the earnings link to pensions but Labour won't.

Sadly the vast majority of us depend on the State... directly or indirectly.

Restaurants, builders, accountants, surveyors, transport workers, mechanics ...

the larger proportion of their work will be serving State employees or dependants.

The Labour spinners are setting the Tories up for a blame-shift, "The recovery was under way until you started cutting things "

Sadly I think the country deludes itself. It's been doing so for ten years after all.

I could see that this was no economic boom - simply a credit binge. People already think of this as an economic downturn.

There was never really an economic upturn. But Blair will be credited unfairly as bringing us good times, for all his faults.
