The Nations Saviour

Raedwald is being humorous,( see his super blog) and in the sprit of of cowardly hyena yipping from the back ,Iwould like to join the incredulity at Cherie baby`s comparison between Tony and Churchill, although they both struggled in peacetime I suppose.... Through the round window ,I see an alternative history in which PM Blair is about to issue a sombre call to arms .The House is hushed ....

"Look mate, no really, guys , we have before us an sticky patch of the most grievous kind as I told the Mrs . We have before us , to be honest with you , y`know ‘ suffering’. OK so you ask, what is our policy? I can say ( and I like this bit ) It is to wage war, by sea, land and air, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us ( *serious look Peoples Princess furrowed brow*); to wage war against a monstrous tyranny that.... we will easily win (*bright smile *), delivering me a personable triumph easily tradable for earnings on the Yank circuit .( That is right isn’t it .... ?)That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: It is fame ,fame at all costs, fame in spite of all terror, fame , however long and hard the road may be; for without fame , there is no book no lecture and no hols with Cliff...... Hey I `m not lying ...honest guys ! "

Its like he's back with us again.

Horribly, terribly guiltily I watched him on the Daley Show.
I thought, "you know..he is like a Prime Minister. He is convincing as a person playing a statesman. If Mr Blair appeared on the West Wing as a British Prime Minister..I would buy that."

And just for a second..I wanted him back and that hunchback impersonator gone.
