The Little Details

I discovered something about Patrick Keilty the compeer and (supposedly) comedian today . His father was killed by a Protestant “Group” in a revenge killing . God knows I wouldn’t want to pretend that I understood Northern Ireland . I don’t need to in order to disapprove of the Mayor of London having tea with known Terrorists.Doesn’t that unpleasant reality undercut the smear of normalcy the gelled hair would imply though .I had a similar thought when I noticed that Miss Israel was going to be let off carrying her rifle during national Service in case her modelling career was disrupted. Just the little detail opens your eyes to the difference in everything birth to deathThe Guardian reading fraternity go wrong in foreign affairs , in my view , my arrogantly disregarding the cultural and circumstantial gulf between geographical areas. They transpose ideas appropriate for London unaltered to wherever they can make disguised domestic and self congratulatory points.

Christmas

Cold winter morning
We walk along the hedgerows
Looking for sloes to pick...

The bones of a bird
On the field track
Not saying a word...

Sharing Pee's wool knit cardigan
Trembling we kiss
Watched by starlings...

Mr Newmania,
Your blog is, as His Grace might say, most erudite. And charmingly irreverent. I shall return. Thanks for the tip on the venus table dancing venue. And seasons greetings to your good self.

The same applies here Mr.N, very few areas have to deal with cannibalism, grand mal incest, mutancy and civil wars like Devon does - but where are our laws made? London! Or Brussels(? Get me up to speed here)

Errr - not sure about the poetry.

Some critics have called it an act of violence upon both the language and the readers sensibilties but on my sexiness and niceness she is very sound.

OK for some, isn't it N? None of my regulars seem to seek romance etc with your truly, although perhaps that is just as well.

Croydonian - whilst you are undoubtedly sexier than a bag of scratchings, my moist loins seem intent on the attention of PHITCH. What can I say? Oh the exquisite anticipation of those arms, that kiss; meeting in a frenzy of darting tongues. To rip the mans clothes off with my teeth is, I know, a dream. To swallow the man into the warmth of my longing would be like eating a butterfly - I would destroy the thing I cherish: he is a married man. The depth of my desire must be forever unrequited. Croydonian - you would wish to torture a woman so?

Yeah, great innit Nick?

Phillipa I , at least have been inocculated against your wiles.

Philipa said...

Innoculated against my wiles huh?
Honey you ain't seen nuthin yet :-) Ask Peter Hitchens what I keep under wraps - he stood up to get a better look!

Croydonian - modesty forbids detail but in my experience it's usually a man that's all mouth and trousers. When a woman is all mouth it's usually a good thing.

It's when she's all trousers the trouble starts.

I've given up all that nonsense.

Taking the Fifth is often a wise move. Are we going to see you chez Croydonian ever again?

Croydonian - I liked it there and many thanks for asking, I appreciate it. I just find Verity's attacks tiresome in the extreme and she's obviously decided she owns the blog and will police it accordingly. I enjoy debating an issue but if someone can't be bothered to read what you've written then there is no debate, just bullying. You're welcome to her mate! Why not pop by my place sometime? I'd love to have you.. so to speak.

I`m watching you like a hawk C;Like a hawk!

Jealousy is such an unmanly emotion Paul.

Jealous no !!Philliopa is a mate. I simply do not wish to see her used and cast aside.Too many butterflies have been crushed beneath the wheel of your libido C. I would like to save one ...just one to fly and be free.
