USB and Credit Suisse are much admired Companies, as is Nestle, Swatch and many more in the high tech Swiss Manufacturing and pharmaceuticals sectors.It is a low tax, low immigration, ultra Free Economy, that looks well set to maintain a Comparative advantage with the merging low cost Countries.It has an independent and democratic tradition as do we. Could be worse as a model .
Sweden also has a low population and huge resources, it has industries established by ferocious Capitalists but I agree it has lessons for us. Free Schools,a more regressive tax system than we have more property rights, business, labour, and financial freedom.
Labour`s supposed wish to make us like Nordic heaven lacked, shall we say, consistency.
