Poll Of One

That Conservative taxation policy being ‘in disarray’ ( Ken Clarke etc.) should not give New Labour such enormous pleasure . As the amount of debt we will face increases hourly it would have to be rewritten every hour in the same way that they change the price labels hourly in Zimbabwe. On the radio this AM a Labour bod dutifully repeated the line , “ Tory tax in disarray “ .
Mrs . N, a non-combatant, leant out of the shower to shout “ ..and whose fault is that then ?”She has been an uncannily good guide to reaction outside the bubble in the past

As Mrs Quango said 'who cares about two equally clueless parties arguing over made up statistics.'

My hairdresser, my apolitical, political litmus test, says much the same thing.

Hey, Newms and Bill Quango, have you two signed up for Google accounts - if not, how do you blog on Dale? I've stopped posting on Dale because of the need to register somewhere or other to do it. I'm loathe to sign up with Google because of the Chinese business, however, now I want to post on a another site which requires Google ID or Open ID whatever that is etc.

What do you think?

Well here's a good start to the parliamentary standards committee's report on MP's expenses, MP's pay, 2nd jobs etc.

Sir Christopher Kelly, committee Chair states in a TV interview:

"I've just received a letter from the PM ask me to...."

Later...asked: what did he (PM) say to you in that letter?

"(Giggles) I've been told the letter is on its way, I've been given the gist of it...I haven't actually got it in my hands.

Nice to see the Chair of standards is a straight talker.

I do think the Tories are going to have probs with the massive tax rises they are going to have to implement though. This is not what the party faithful are signing up for..
