Drunk Ken`s Awful Friends ( And See Dispatches Tonight)

Ken Friend -Gerry Healey- WRP…accused of near rape
A militant from Oxford described his sexual technique.
‘Healy came towards me, was hovering over me. He was not listening to a word I was saying. He wanted only one thing from me - my sexual submission. For a moment, I just stared at him: fat, ugly, red-faced

The “ Drunken Ken allegations “ come from a far left fawning Labour acolyte , Martin Bright and emerge from research into his Channel Four expose of Livingstone which shows tonight .In fact any ‘Democratic’ Socialist should loathe Ken .
He began by travelling with the the Workers’ Revolutionary party The WRP took money from Saddam Hussein as he was preparing to gas ‘impure’ ethnic minorities. In London, WRP photographers spied on Iraqi democrats.
In return for supporting the Arab dictatorships, it embraced the fascist conspiracy theory. Its newspaper announced that Jews secretly controlled American foreign policy, the Labour party, Margaret Thatcher’s Conservative government, the BBC and bureaucracies as obscure as the Manpower Services Commission. They ran everything - except the Workers’ Revolutionary party. Its leader, Gerry Healy was accused of ‘cruel and systematic debauchery’ by 26 women members on party premises. Rape , near enough ...
Few had the stomach to stick with Healy after that. Among those who did were Livingstone. At Healy’s funeral in 1990, he dismissed all the accusations of collaboration with Saddam and attacks on women as lies spread by MI5 agents who wanted to ’smash the organisation’…..(pissed again ?)
Livingstone founded a Trotskyist sect called Socialist Action. .It has no more than 100 members - but Livingstone has given a fair proportion of them jobs with six-figure salaries at the public’s expense.
John Ross, Livingstone’s economic adviser on £121,000, is typical
. He is so lacking in economic knowledge that he decided that the Russian Communist party was a force for the future in 1991, two years after the fall of the Berlin Wall. His economic advice at the time was for the ruling class to learn ‘that they will be killed if they do not allow a takeover by the working class’.
Atma Singh, a former member of the group who resigned as Livingstone’s adviser on Asian issues, told Channel 4 that his former comrades wanted to created a ’state within the British state’. This ambition explains ..lavish diplomatic missions to Brussels, China and India, while Livingstone negotiated an exploitative oil deal on behalf of Transport for London with Hugo Chávez. Venezuela His London Development Agency is described by insiders as the ‘mayor’s piggy bank“....

See Westmonster , Nick Coen and The New Statesman……

PS I must never fail to mention the part played by the suppsedly Progressive Compass Group in smearing Boris on behalf of this monster and retaining Miranda Grell ( The woman who lied about a gay man claiming he was a paedo , to win a Council seat) until it became impossible to do so any longer.

It's odd that we talk of the far Left as though they're a homgenous group when in fact there are deep spilts in the left, with WRP hating SWP and intra-organsisation factions despising each other too. It makes squabbles by right wingers look like gnats piss by comparison.

I remember when I was a student that WRP lecturers used to practically spit at SWP in the corridors :)

One such yawning ideological chasm opened up within WRP around the Gerry Healy scandal. The-red-as they-come minority claimed that Horrible Healy had been framed and stitched up in order to destroy WRP and benefit the Labour party, while the not-so-left majority claimed the very-far-left were sexually corrupt.

Didn't Healy have to go into hiding for a year to escape being savaged by the majority of WRP members?

Much of the impetus for the splits seemed to me to boil down to an old fashioned class struggle within the left. My WRP lecturers were often older and from working class families and old labour communities, many of them from oop north, whereas the SWP lecturers were largely middle class people from trendier parts of down south, darling, which they unconvincingly tried to say was 'dahn souf' as they scoured their obligatory Daily Mirrors.

So was Ken part of the red-as-they come faction?

I bought myself a very fetching Boris sweatshirt a few months back - and do you know I haven't got to wear it once. My young daughter loved it, has commandeered it and lives int he bloody thing. So I shall have to buy another for myself. What a cheese, however it does show Boris's universal appeal, we don't even live in London.

Flo you never cease to amaze me I had no idea you would know so much about hat sort of arcania . it was pretty much news to me today. Nick Coen wrote an article about it .
Mr Croydionin has a wonderful grou about the factionalism of the early left groups in London which is hilarious at a distance

Speaking of drunk friends, n, was Nick Clegg half pissed....or what...in his Andy Marr interview?

He looked like death. I know he always tends to have that puffy, little lad look, but today his face and eyes were puffed up like pumpkins.

Not again, surely?

I've been good this time and put my version of the interview below in the Nick Clegg section.

What did you make of the interview, n?

Blimey, I just tired to download a pic of Clegg from a Libem site to see how puffed his face is normally and it refused to allow me to have it until I PAY.

So that's what Clegg means by power to the people, is it, power to pay for him?

Unbelievable.

Hey Flo I think there is room for a bit of Electoral Roll fun for Boris voters from outside London. I'm sure I could fit a few hundred in my flat on polling day :-)

Terrifying. Just terrifying.

On a completely unrelated note, I've added you to my blogroll after redesigning my blog this weekend.

I remember the WRP chanting "Organise, agitate - Soviet Power NOW!!" I always wondered if they were a CIA front being used to discredit lefties.... also I am pretty sure that Livingstone was London Labour Briefing linked to the Campaign Group back in the late eighties..

Also, Ken managed to give away about £83 million in the last year of the GLC to his pals, who is surprised he is still up to the same tricks?

Cohen's article in Sunday was pretty well a cut and paste from his book 'What's Left', which is highly recommended.

Meanwhile, what's 'a grou'?

The Mayor's Office has released a justification of John Ross, Redmond O'Neill et al, so I inserted some remarks. When loking at their areas of responsibility on which they have carte blanche to spend our taxes, blanch is the word.

Where is your plan for getting out of all this?

BORIS for PM!

You know, I've encountered (mostly Tory) politicians and whilst they may be accomplished, like Redwood and Gove, they are invariably arrogant and distant. Boris is the only exception - he is neither arrogant nor remote. He is accesible without qualification (ie. he will talk to you/reply even if you don't live in his constituency - that means he gets no political benefit from spending his time on you but does it anyway cause he's that kinda guy, and he still outperforms his contempories!)
