Racist Slur At Boris

Well have you seen the front page of the Guardian? Look yourslef I`m not advertising the sordid rag. I commented on Dale as follows

Unfounded allegations and rumours are rather your stock in trade are they not? And what a loathsome trade some of you bloggers are making it....said A N arsehole

...and what about the utterly unfounded allegation that Boris Johnson is a racist which is in effect what this is . I do not comment on the disgusting immorality of those responsible for using Stephen Lawrence’s death for the tawdry aim a slurring a kind man who is entirely without prejudice that Stephen`s own parents should feel this is a fitting epitaph sticks right in my stomach. What sort of people are they ? What kind of empty self love persuade s you that your moment on the front page is worth this. The nasty little creeps who have organised it they fall beneath the lowest possible estimation of a human being .I would myself say that this is the single most repugnant front page I have ever seen . For the Guardian to collude in stirring up racial hatred for the purposes of trying to get Ken Livingstone, friend of the IRA and unreconstructed hard left refugee back in ,astonishes me . I have never said this before because it is so often used by pontificating pleaders ,but I expected better , I really did .

I know Boris Johnson and as it happens my wife and son are black as are many of the Islington Conservative Party Mrs. Lawrence speaks for no-one . NO ONE. Only the racist pity addicts of the platitudinising left think that Black is a homogenous slab of opinion that they can slice up anywhere they think fit and I can promise you that it is not appreciated . To put this on the front page is flabbergasting. Boris is absolutely not a racist as the Guardian well know and as everyone here knows as well . Polly Toynbee was first to start the lies quoting Boris hopelessly out of context on education so as to claim he was an elitist. He was at the time defending David Willets and saying Grammar schools are not the answer but competition is . I thought then if Paultry Filler is sinking to this then we are in for a dirty campaign to rival Bermondsey’s “ Straight Choice” Simon Hughes . Just when you think the left of this country cannot be any more vile they prove you wrong and for anyone else I can tell you that this is the way London Labour is ,a cess pit of the unreconstructed hard left to rival Liverpool’s in the 80s .

Meanwhile Enver Hodge is over in Barking talking about the blacks taking all the Council houses , Brown wagging a new found flag and on about British jobs for the British and Hazel Blears complaining about al the darkies that have turned up. They have been pretty damn quick to shore up their weakness to BNP defections ,, not a problems the Conservative Party have

And !“They perhaps helps you to feel you've made sense of this frighteningly complex world“ … are there really still adults that spout this sort of puerile clap trap ?. You Hughes Views are in no position to comment on the complexity or otherwise of the world because you think on the level of a teas-made .This much is at least certain . Oh .. that’s ironic you see blah blah..drivel sputter

And David Boothroyd” to the extent of speaking at several SWP events. “ Another child , what , do you think the SWP give a toss about anything expect the publicity and that speaking at their events is proof of anything . Have you ever met anyone form the SWP do you realise the sort of madness we are dealing with.? Clearly not .

Over a long journalistic career it is not surprising that Boris may have written things that he might now regret. What he has not done is pick on the Jews so as to suck up to the Muslims who are busy plastering leaflets all over London suggesting we bury homosexuals alive and , in many cases, tacitly approving or denying the bombing of their fellow citizens . Neither has he had tea with the IRA so as to abase himself before a strand of Irish opinion in the Capital .Is it worth hoping that Ken will condemn this poisonous stirring and allow London to debate the future of our City without lies and filth pervading the atmosphere ?( Are you listening you pompous toad FairdealPhil , who do you work for then ? ) It occurs to me that he may not because , like a lower league team , he can only beat Premiership Boris in the mud,. That is what this is all about. I `ll admit it sometimes I rant for fun or effect but this is different a new low . It occurs to me that the Labour Party are likely to have more to embarrass them from Ken` SWP and hard left gangs than the Conservatives do from Boris .

Sea Shanty "that her remarks on his unworthiness to be mayor of her city are sincere." Surely you can see that this is not the point. Surely !!!

yes, i'm listening...

and having read your venom, i now understand why you seem to think it's ok for your mate boris to describe black people as 'piccaninnes' or africans with 'water melon' smiles.

The days when that sort of language was acceptable are long over.

Mrs Lawrence is entitled to speak for Mrs Lawrence. She'll know that the Tory Government refused point blank to hold an inquiry into her son's death - it only happened thanks to the Blair Government.

If Mrs L is speaking for NO-ONE, as you suggest, when she says Boris would destroy unity in London, who was Boris speaking for when he says - disgracefully in my humble opinion - that some of the Stephen Lawrence inquiry recommendations were driven by political correctness.

Boris's comments shows there's still a long way to go, but the Lawrence inquiry recommendations were hopefully, a major turning point in race relations in London and across the UK.

Not venom. Disgust.

A non sequitur. Your understanding is an interesting subject isn`t it , why are you determined to misdread this article. Its not that hard to follow

The days when that sort of language was acceptable are long over.

The point Boris makes in ascribing antiquated language to an endeavour of which he clearly disapproves .“Dour Scot “ is now actionable as well. Congratulations on making our word that bit more unpleasant to live in. I cannot say how much I admire you

Mrs Lawrence is entitled to speak for Mrs Lawrence.

And to use her son’s death as part of Ken Livingston’s campaign aided by his sympathisers and more likely the Guardianistas who detest Boris. Yes she is entitled to do as she please and I am entitled to think she is either callous or simple and being exploited

If Mrs L is speaking for NO-ONE, as you suggest, when she says Boris would destroy unity in London,

No she is trying to stir up interracial trouble quite obviously and for cynical political ends . The news that she is associated with the SWP tells me all I need to know about her and the fact she is happy to use her own son`s death nauseates me . More likely she is being used by the Guardian and the Livingstone team. The fact that KL would be deeply embarrassed to be connected with the slur might give you pause for thought

who was Boris speaking for when he says - disgracefully in my humble opinion - that some of the Stephen Lawrence inquiry recommendations were driven by political correctness.

Really and is there any amount of Liberal codswallop you would not say is subject to a politically correct agenda . I doubt it , you are the illness you are hardly likely to enjoy the cure

Boris's comments shows there's still a long way to go, but the Lawrence inquiry recommendations were hopefully, a major turning point in race relations in London and across the UK.

. I doubt it I doubt the whole guilt trip has helped one bit , things are obviously getting worse as evidenced by the progress of the BNP( 35% of Labour voters say it is their second choice Party ..virtually no Conservatives) . I suspect that the only thing that will really make any difference is and end to the floods of immigrants that Labour has encouraged . It is now at four times the level of the 90s and of the 3,000,000 homes due to despoil the South 1,000,000 appx. Will go to immigrants not even here yet .

I `ll tell you something I notice those who applaud this cultural melting pot never send their children to school in it and that would include Dianne Abbot Emily Thornberry Polly Toynbee and Billy Bragg who moved to Dorset for god’s sake . One of the little noticed aspects of the Sedgefield by election was the progress of the BNP into Labour territory. Its progress in places such as Barking has been worrying . You think that treating white on black crime as more important than black on white crime ( more prevalent , more deaths ) helps .
I do not .
This is in any case obviously a smear and a very odd one just as the Labour Party have begun to kick out the multicultural mistake (they say)

Do you work for the race relations industry or are you just trying to keep the subject alive because you are a Livingstone supporter? One or the other will be the truth.

Don`t pontificate at me , I know what this is and I believe it will be equally clear to London voters

"The number of complaints and queries to the Guardian's readers' editor Ian Mayes continues to run at a fairly high level of between 9,000 and 10,000 a year." (Guardian)

I'm not surprised. I was a Guardian addict and read the Guardian all of my adult life until 2005 - the year Guardian reporting became so repeatedly and intolerably riddled with bias and so sloppy that they finally drove me away.

Polly Toynbee's blatant, fawning and uncritical electioneering for warmonger Blair during the 2005 election was the final straw for me

The Guardian's and Toynbee's
'Put a peg on your nose and vote Labour' campaign during that election so sickened me and a number of Guardian reader friends that we stopped buying the Guardian.

Although I began buying the Guardian again more recently, I only buy it sporadically now and no longer regard myself as a Guardian reader.

Why? Because I regard Blair and Bush's illegal invasion, their cluster bombing and slaughter of 100,000s of innocent men, women and children of Iraq as a fundamentally racist attack.

And in supporting Blair during the 2005 election, the Guardian, in my view, supported that racism and the bombing and slaughter of those defenceless people.

As you've said, newmania, Boris has used some pretty dumb expressions from time to time. Though to be fair to him, haven't we all used such expressions without a second thought about their true racist meaning?

I grew up in a family and a community where such expressions were commonplace - though, I believe, these were used thoughtlessly, because it was custom and practice at that time, rather than with any malevolence.

My dear grandmother was one of the least racist people I've ever met, but, like so many working class people then, she'd finished her - very sporadic - schooling at 8 years old. I'll always remember her speaking of a child with disabilities next door as 'a poor plastic boy' and of a Indian airman who lived with her during the war as 'a wonderful man - so what if he was black!'. He was the first black person she'd ever met.

So I have had to re-educate myself over the years with regard to racist expressions. Boris and I are certainly not alone in that.

It is to Boris's huge credit that he is one of the very few politicians who have been honest and decent enough to seriously question his support for the Iraq war.

That speak volumes for me about the sort of man Boris is. And he is not a racist.

As for the Guardian and Toynbee, pot to kettle comes to mind. I suggest they put their own houses in order. Their transparent, red top nasty newspaper, smear tactics against Boris are beneath contempt.

Though on a positive note, it does show how rightly terrified the left are that Boris will win the
election. And he will.

THis is where our sensitive multiculturalist lives Flo

"Lincolnshire is relatively unusual in the composition of its population, being one of the least ethnically diverse counties of the United Kingdom (98.5 percent of the population describe themselves as "white"). Over recent years inward migration by people from ethnic minority communities has increased (particularly to population centres such as Lincoln) but the absolute number of non-white Lincolnshire residents remains very low."

He is an expert on race relations as you can see

Exactly.

What worries me about the Phoney Phils of this world is the amount of pernicous influence these phoney, fabricated mindsets of vested interest in political correctness have on the rest of us.

I don't believe for one moment that fantasy Phil and the rest of the politically correct minority believe even half of the guff they spout.

Isn't time you got real, Phil? Or have you been spouting all of that pc rubbish for so long now that you've forgotten how to speak beyond meaningless pc stereotypes?

Alright, I apologise for that last post, Phil, it was a bit ad hominem which only serves to weaken my own argument.

I do however so wish that those of you who pretend to be perfect by regurgitatng these politically correct stereotypes would come into the real world where the rest of us live, drop the pc speak and relate to us in a more realistic manner.

You know that you've selectively quoted Boris in order to make him appear to be a raging racist - which I'm sure you must know he's not. Even the Guardian - which you are quoting - gives a fairer account of Boris than you do.

Why do you feel the need to present such a distorted view of Boris? Because the truth doesn't fit your 'racist Boris' claim.

newmania, for once we are in complete agreement.

The Guardian is obviously doing everything they possibly can to prevent Boris from being elected.

God knows he has faults, and it's easy enough to list them (off his site!) but racism doesn't seem to be one of them. He is, as I am, an equal-opportunity offender. In the three years I've been commenting at his site I have never read anything I could interpret as racist. Yes, he used those words to shock and to consciously mock pomposity, but no, he doesn't really call people "pickaninnies".

Also, the race-baiting of the Guardian only gives Boris more fodder to come out strongly and publicly against racism, which we both know he's smart enough and principled enough to do.

But really, I don't take it personally. I mean, what can you expect from a Limey, eh?

Newmania said...

Something you muight not be aware of Raincoaster is the political enviroment of London which is dominated by hard left and very old Labour allied with racial groups. There is not a lot of civlity , they are capable of anything at all and this election is going to be very dirty.

I see why , Boris will beat Ken easily in a normal election but if it gets down to street fighting Ken has the support and experience as a propogandist .

The London Left seem strangely rattled by Boris. And Lawrence's attack on our man has the distinct whiff of having been planned and coordinated with Red Ken himself.
The tadpole fancier is expert at the art of low politics.
A nasty, pointless, and unwarranted intervention on the part of Mrs Lawrence. All very disappointing.

Me too, raincoaster. Like you, Boris, newmania and most of the human race, I'm not perfect. I'm still educating myself and still learning how to be civilised. And from our misty vantage point at the dawn of human civilisation, how could we humans possibly aspire to be anything but a little less imperfect?

One of the many things that greatly irritates me about the minority of people who set themselves up as pc paragons in order to punish and control the rest of us non-pc great unwashables, is their bogus, implicit claim to perfection.

Yet there aint no such thing as perfection on this planet of ours. And those politically correct who feign such perfection in truth dislike and distrust most of the human race. In their view we're most of us unsafe to be around unless controlled and enslaved by our moral superiors - them.

It seems more than a little ironic to me that, in setting themselves over us, as somehow morally and intellectually superior to the rest of us imperfect, sinning humanity, the pc thought police embody a sort of anti-human racism, which posits themselves as a sort of race apart.
