This is sexist and offensive. Why should women be judged by their looks and not their actions???

Your all acting like schoolboys, grow up!!!!

I'm a bit worried about the GLA member for Haringey and the like. She seems to be missing a large chunk of her head.

Mrs Pritchard, I agree! Anyway what's wrong with this lady? She has a nice smile. And Newmania, she's probably someone's mum...

Margorie.....
I know I know ....its only fun. Most of the contributors are leering gargoyles themselves . Justin was much crueller to David recently ....

He published the worst picture you have ever seen.

Yes she isn`t ugly exactly is she

Mrs P and Marion have a point, but boys will be boys.....

While they are still allowed to be by the oppressive state Ellee

I presume some of these are well into their fifties. Changes do seem to take place at that time in life - I know of relatives who were stunningly attractive in youth who are now very much like this.

I`m not exactly improving myself Kev...

How is age going for you . The wine way or the bread way

The Aunt said...

Hello Newmania.

Rank amateurs, the lot of you.

Ageing fine at 42, N. I do a lot of running etc so I'm fitter than I was at twenty actually. My wife likes me much better as I am now so she thinks 'the wine way'.

I look at old photos and now realise that I once looked very good actually, so I think the bread way. :-(

I've never really liked my image so I'm quite sanguine about the ageing thing, so whaddaheck.

Wifey's most definitely going the wine way and still gets lots of attention - it's a good thing for me that her eyesight is terrible.

Poor old Jackie and Annabel are really quite ugly, on reflection, but the rest aren't anything more than a bit plain.
I think you should put up some pics of Ugly Men in Politics now... or maybe not.

I am improving with age myself - this is the curse of women and the blessing of men - it is also why we have to seek out younger models. I do have a photo of Guido - ut you will have to scroll down!

Newm you certainly like living dangerously,I hope you have a place to hide,if these ladies catch you, who could you get to do your blog,I suppose talking with high pitched voice you could get used to.

You may find this hard to believe , but I find this thread to be pretty unpleasent.

Mutley there are no good ones, like the hitch guido lost his looks sometime at the back of the 1980's

N -

OK, now I used to know someone who looked quite a bit like this candidate. She was one of the sweetest, loveliest people I've ever met.

So the point of this competition is what? It's not funny anymore (as if it ever were).

You're better than this, N. You have good things to say in your own unique manner. There's no need for this sort of thing.

Oh dear, Newmania,

I have to say I didn't have the courage to say what Hitch and Lud have just said. My Mum could fit in this gallery I'm afraid, and she really is the sweetest person ...

You naughty boy ! How can you sleep at night ?

:-)

Anonymous said...

EK, yes my Mum could too. And she was stunning before having 7 children and then bringing them up, not to mention babysitting my Dad at the same time.

Anonymous said...

Actually Newmania is a honey and I'm ageing the wine way - I can do your head in and go off if you leave me shut in a cupboard.

Anonymous said...

That was very clever, Philipa.

Given your recent homophbic , racist and antisemtic material Hitch your feelings are shall we say " selectively delicate".You claim you intend it all as a joke well this is hardly serious is it.

Newmania said...

Lud -Well I laughed and I don`t want to be serious all the time . Perhaps its seems a bit misogynistic but men will be coming up shortly .Actually Dale did ugly men recently and Croydonian won by a country mile he has a rare old memory for worst haircuts and so on.

What can I say its the sheer triviality that amuses me

Newmania said...

It has just occurred to me that hitch is claiming to be offenmded in the hope he will ingratiate himself with women.

OK that is a pretty noble objective and my faith is restored

Newmania said...

I met Phillipa the other night and she is a fox ...with one of those glowing smiles

EK -- Yes I think Mrs. N is doing better than me she looks very young but we are planning another child ( fingers crossed) so I shoul dput a stop to that

Good luck with that Mr & Mrs New.

I was at a Eurostar bash with my wife and we'd been trying IVF and all. Who should sit next to me but the ASLEF Gen Secretary Lew Adams. We stuck together for the night and got pissed. Having heard our story he held both our hands and said "I bless you both with fertility." which I though was a bloody odd thing to say. 10 months later we had twin boys !

I sent him a thank you card and had a letter published in the ASLEF Journal.

Do you want me to send Lew round to you ?

And when I said to one of my pals "Where having IVF and I've got to inject her in the bottom" he replied "In the bottom ? Well that's where you're going wrong !"
